An artist from the Netherlands attending Fajr International Theater Festival in Iran describes the management of the event as laudable.
Rachel Feuchtwang was quoted by the media on Sunday as saying that Fajr Theater Festival is “a very big event” that requires a lot of time for scheduling many theater events every day, adding that this “is quite commendable.”
Feuchtwang is a creative producer and advisor in the Netherlands and UK, working in Amsterdam and London on theatre and cross-media projects.
She was the art manager of Schweigman, a Dutch theater company which made a play attending the latest edition of Fajr Theater Festival.
As a lady who visited Iran for the first time, she said that due to the media influence “there are various viewpoints,” noting, however, that Iranians are warm, hospitable and generous.
She also noted a great deal of culture, history and civilization exist in Iran.
The Fajr International Theater Festival is the biggest and prestigious performing arts event in Iran. It is a showcase of Iran theater which lasts for 12 days. On the last day of the festival, the winners will be awarded.
The 35th edition of the event runs till January, 31, 2017.
